# 6 Reasons to Attend SDS2 Summit
SDS2 is heading to the No. 1 beach in the US this September for SDS2 Summit, and we think you should join us. The three-day conference will be packed with valuable opportunities to come together for learning, networking, and collaborative innovation.
After a year of isolation and canceled travel plans, we couldn't be more excited to see our amazing user community in person again.
As the power of the pandemic wanes, we're looking forward to building our industry up even stronger. SDS2 Summit offers great opportunities to expand your skills, knowledge, and network as you plan for the future.
Below are the top six reasons we think you should join us.
## 1\. To make connections
We’re all about connections at SDS2, and not just the welded and bolted varieties. SDS2 Summit is the perfect place for you to connect with SDS2 users and steel industry leaders from across the country. Learn from your peers, build relationships, and exchange ideas with attendees, sponsoring businesses, and the SDS2 development and support teams. You never know when a casual conversation will turn into a valuable business partnership, and SDS2 Summit is built for those opportunities.
## 2\. To expand your knowledge
SDS2 has arranged a value-packed curriculum of insider tips and training throughout the Summit. Get SDS2 training directly from company experts, hear from customers who are leveraging our solutions to innovate and grow their businesses, and get up-to-date on trends and insights from industry leaders. With interactive and collaborative learning, these sessions provide valuable, actionable takeaways to help shape your detailing and fabrication strategy.
## 3. To shape the future
The lively roundtable discussions at SDS2 Summit offer a unique chance to share your vision for a better SDS2, discuss your business needs with our development team, and help forge the steel detailing software of the future.
## 4. To discover innovative products and services
Sponsors, exhibitors, and presenters will have their latest and greatest on display throughout Summit, giving you a chance to discover innovations that can elevate your business and make new friendships with industry movers and shakers.
## 5. To show off your best work
The SDS2 Solid Steel Awards recognize outstanding work from SDS2 users every year, with both monetary rewards and opportunities for additional promotion by SDS2 throughout the year. The winners will be announced at the Thursday night dinner party, and though you don’t have to be present to win, it’s a great opportunity to celebrate your success and gain recognition from peers and industry professionals. Entries are due by July 9.
## 6. To celebrate at the No. 1 beach in the US
In addition to the learning and networking opportunities, SDS2 Summit is also about having some fun. Professionals in our industry work hard, but we play hard, too, and the Sirata Beach Resort at St. Pete Beach, Florida, (rated the No. 1 beach in the US by Tripadvisor), is the perfect place for both. With a welcome reception cocktail hour on Wednesday night and a beachside dinner party on Thursday, you’ll have plenty of time to unwind and enjoy the many amenities the Sirata has to offer.
### A quick note:
In conjunction with our venue, we will be strictly following all health and safety recommendations from the CDC and Florida Department of Health throughout the event. View the Sirata Beach Resort's latest health and safety measures here.
